My approach

Effective communication goes beyond words

It’s about truly getting to the heart of the content and knowing how to guide others through it.

Growing up in Ireland, UK and Jamaica, and working across Europe and East Asia, I have a deep understanding of how different cultures convey ideas.

My experience spans academia, the intricacies of foreign and domestic policy and the arts, always with a focus on clear and impactful messaging.

Whether it’s a strategic briefing or specialist training, I bring a practised eye and a relevant perspective to every project.

Professional background

My career has given me academic rigour, up-close policy experience and an eye for quality content

I discovered the joy in empowering others and communicating across cultures as a lecturer and teacher in Australia, East Asia, Russia and UK.

My academic work focused on regional politics and institutional change. I brought these insights to roles at diplomacy think-tank The Asia-Australia Institute and AusAID, Australia’s international aid agency.

As a writer for industry magazines Artery and Arts Yarn Up, I developed a knack for shaping newsworthy stories and featured top Australian and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, writers and performers.

I polished political messages and negotiated technical details as senior editor for the City of Sydney and crafted the agency’s first digital content guide and communications strategy.

From large-scale training programs to specialist teams, I’ve honed these skills to help more than 4,000 people improve their content, business outcomes and reputation.
